Long Abstract The TYPO3 certification is established for several years now. Today over 1000 participants and over 800 certifies TYPO3 integrators exist worldwide.

This session focuses on the business part of the certification. It shows the TYPO3 dilemma and highlights the different point of views of TYPO3 developer, agency, customer, and, last but not least, the TYPO3 project. In this session I will try give an overview, how the TYPO3 certification tries to fulfill the requirements of all involved parties.

One of the main problems of the certification is the need of presence of one of the team members at the certification exam itself. Outside europe, this is sometimes quite hard. I will show the goals and plans, how the team is heading to fix this.

This talk also answers to the FAQ, how the team decides wether a participant passes the exam or not. The method to determine the success of the test is called cutscore determination, which will be explained deeper in this talk.
