Long Abstract A historicaly grown solution of the extensions Seminars and Mailformplus was used for displaying and booking the seminars offered by the SMA Solar Academy. Due to the high demand for seminars on photovoltaics the decision was made to use SAP Learning Solutions (SAP LSO) for the whole seminars management.

While TYPO3 and SAP run independent from each other we found it useful to integrate specific parts of SAP LSO into the corporate website. To have a smooth transition the integration of SAP LSO was divided into two main parts:

1. Retrieve and display a list of seminars from SAP LSO utilising SOAP. Booking seminars via the corporate website will still be done with Mailformplus.

2. Integrate the booking process of the SAP LSO seminar management utilising SOAP and TYPO3. This part also involves FE user authentication via SAP-based single sign-on. Various user-centered processes are implented via live integration of SAP LSO into TYPO3.
